Planning a day on the water in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina? The Captain’s Report brings local fishing reports, coastal weather, tide predictions, and marine alerts together in one place. See what local crews have shared, compare today’s and tomorrow’s hourly forecasts, and check the latest conditions before your trip.
A closer look at the local catch
Our Murrells Inlet catch report features up to three recent qualifying posts from participating fishing charters and sponsors. Each report pairs a catch photo with a short summary, the sponsor’s name, and the post date.
A recent post can include photos from an earlier trip or a roundup of several outings. We keep those qualifications with the report so you can tell what was shared recently and what is known about the catch itself.
Today’s forecast and tomorrow’s outlook
Compare hourly wind speeds, gusts, temperatures, sky cover, wave heights, and wave periods for the Murrells Inlet coastal forecast area. The daily overview also includes the nearshore marine forecast and the next predicted high and low tides at Divine’s Dock.
Weather comes from the National Weather Service and tide predictions from NOAA. Source times appear beside the information, and unavailable hours are marked rather than filled with estimates.

Murrells Inlet report FAQs
How often does the fishing report update?
Sponsor posts are scheduled for review every six hours. Eligible catch posts from the past three days can appear here, with a maximum of three shown at a time. Updates depend on source access; the review date is displayed with the catch report.
Are the weather and tide times local?
Yes. Forecast and tide times use Eastern time, including daylight saving time when applicable. Weather and tides refresh every ten minutes while the page is open.
Do the wave forecasts describe conditions inside the inlet?
The tables show coastal forecast data, not measurements at the inlet bar. The nearshore forecast names its marine zone, and the alerts section lists official National Weather Service bulletins. Tide heights are predictions, not measured water levels.
